RM Auto Group is hiring a payroll/admin assistant to join our accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to support six dealerships, solve interesting challenges and shape solutions that directly impact leadership within the stores. This position is based out of ourMeidl Hondalocation in Saskatoon, SK.

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual to join our team in a key support role. This position is responsible for assisting with payroll processing while providing administrative support to senior management. Reporting to the Payroll Administrator, the role works closely with the Controller's and senior leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and effective day-to-day operations.

Your area of focus:

• Receives, corrects, enters and processes payroll data

• Prepares deductions for employees and assigns them to the appropriate payees and prepares the payroll summary

• Responds to a variety of payroll-related enquiries from employees and upper management

• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes

• Annual preparation of T4s, T22000 and other year-end requirements

• Performs designated duties as required by the payroll administrator

• Maintain and update schedules and KPIs for senior management

• Help complete daily cash posting/clearing

• Perform other related duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

• Ability to maintain sustained attention to detail and work within deadlines

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs: including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Minimum two years of bookkeeping experience

• Minimum one year of payroll experience

• Ability to develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets to an intermediate level of complexity

• Communicates effectively

• Willingness to learn

• Automotive experience is an asset
