About the role

##The opportunity

As a Business Analyst, you are passionate about business analysis, technology, support and enhancement of applications that enable and deliver solutions for Corporate services business partners.

You will play a key role underlying all initiative delivery. Your responsibilities are to understand, document and facilitate agreement on requirements, approaches, specifications and decision variables that enable the delivery of appropriate solutions to achieve business and project goals. You will elicit client needs and ensure requirements traceability as part of delivering applications and information solutions for internal business partners. You will also be involved in hands-on configurations and working with business partners as well as vendors to evaluate solution options and validate functionalities and make configuration changes to corporate applications to meet business needs. This role requires technical expertise and accountability for configuring systems, validating functionality, and capturing end-to-end business requirements to inform solution design.

##Who you'll work with

You will be part of the Corporate Services Technology product team within the Corporate Business Technology Department. In this dynamic role, teamwork will be the key to your success as you work collaboratively within a cross functional team such as Product Owner, Product Engineers and vendor consultants. You will be supporting and enabling our Real Estate Operations, Procurement, Record Management and other Corporate Business partners with a wide range of business capabilities such as Procurement Software, Event Management Software, Space Management Software and other applications as required.

##What you'll do

  • Engages business clients to elicit business requirements and understand business objectives
  • Produces business analysis related documentation, including (functional and non-functional) requirements & user stories, current and future state processes and workflows, and solution specifications to a high quality standard
  • Manage and assist in analysis, system configuration, and support activities for enterprise platforms such as Coupa (procurement and spend management), Momentus (event and venue management), and Planview (portfolio and resource management).
  • Conceives, proposes and facilitates the selection of viable functional solution alternatives
  • Works with internal development resources and external vendor consultants to ensure that solutions being delivered meet business intent and provide business value
  • Manage system administration tasks including user management, workflow optimization, troubleshooting, and platform enhancements.
  • Perform integration efforts between business applications (including Workday, ServiceNow, Azure and Planview), ensuring seamless data flow and process alignment.
  • Demonstrates requirements traceability and, where appropriate, leads the User Acceptance phase of initiatives (define strategy, plan, approve test cases, oversee execution). Works with Business, Product Engineering and QA to ensure built solutions meet stated requirements.
  • Analyze and perform configuration changes related to security, workflow and reporting to meet business needs
  • Participates in the initiation and planning of projects - including facilitating the definition of objectives, scope, and deliverables as well as providing Business Analysis work estimates.
  • Contributes to the operation and improvement of the delivery team
  • Support operational readiness, including impact analysis and documentation of process changes.
  • Perform hands-on configuration testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure platform changes function as intended.
  • Accountable for the coordination, planning and support of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as well as obtaining UAT sign off from business users
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for system configuration decisions, release planning, and change impact analysis.

##What you'll need

  • University degree or equivalent experience (Business/Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • CPA would be considered as a strong asset
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business analysis with a focus on enterprise systems and technology platforms.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working on complex, cross-functional initiatives in an analyst capacity.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Coupa and Momentus platforms, including system administration, configuration, and integration.
  • Experience in data modelling, data analytics tool such as SQL, Snowflake
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and complete tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating effectively with business, delivery and technology partners
  • Excellent understanding of techniques and tools pertaining to the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of technology solutions
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or equivalent is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is an asset.
  • Previous coding experience is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of software systems and ability to specify user needs.
  • Robust understanding of agile delivery methodologies
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple levels of clients, team and partners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with the following technologies is an asset: Anaplan, Microsoft Power BI, Excel Power Pivot, Snowflake, Agentic coding etc.

What we’re offering

Pay-for-performance with base salary and annual incentive based on individual and enterprise performance. The Base Salary range for this level is as follows: $105,000 - $155,000. Individual compensation and placement of this role in the range is based on different factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies, and internal equity as they relate to the role.
