Manulife is seeking a strategic and visionary leader to serve as Director, Global Colleague Community Engagement!
This role will shape and lead global initiatives that foster a culture of connection, purpose, and belonging across our diverse workforce. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating inclusive communities and driving meaningful colleague engagement aligned with Manulife’s mission and values.
Position Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Design and execute a global colleague engagement strategy that reflects Manulife’s purpose, values, and business priorities.
- Program Development: Lead initiatives that promote volunteerism, social impact, and community involvement, ensuring relevance across geographies and cultures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Learning & Development, and Communications to embed community engagement into the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding to leadership development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and regional leaders to gather insights, co-create solutions, and ensure alignment.
- Communications & Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives and communication strategies to showcase community initiatives across internal and external channels.
- Measurement & Insights: Establish KPIs and leverage data to evaluate program effectiveness, inform strategy, and drive continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a global team of engagement professionals, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of global trends in employee experience, community engagement, and social impact, bringing fresh ideas and best practices to the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- A combination of education and progressive experience in employee engagement, organizational development, corporate communications, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years leading initiatives in employee engagement, community development, or social impact—ideally including global program leadership and people management experience.
- 2-5 years of people leadership experience.
- Creative, proactive, nimble, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and geographies, with comfort with navigating ambiguity and a large matrixed organization.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and using insights to inform decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance or financial services is an asset, though not required.

Salary range is expected to be between
$105,750.00 CAD - $190,350.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
