About the role
Who you are
- 6+ years of testing experience in a software domain
- Prove track record with driving test automation strategies in a growth based environment
- Strong experience with leading the creation of automation software and strategy
- Well developed ability to mentor team members in test automation best practices
- Experience testing a cloud-hosted SaaS application
- Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, RSpec and other automation tools that will accelerate our release cycles
- Ability to write clear, concise documentation
- Experience with developing AP test frameworks
- Experience in coding in at least one modern web develop language/framework such as Ruby on Rails or Python/Django
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Experience Designing and building JSON or REST services, AWS APIs, Docker
- As a practice, you maintain awareness of QA/automation industry practices and ensure the team is aware and educated
- Experience with Agile methodologies beyond scrum
What the job involves
- Lead by Example: Be active within your team and the company - participate in meetings; volunteer to lead initiatives; escalate questions or issues when necessary
- Design and lead the test automation strategy
- Drive the creation of an end to end acceptance testing suite
- Design, write and implement integration, component and UI tests
- Working with software engineers to design systems for testability
- Owning the evolution of the test automation strategy
