Summary: The Leasing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that prospective residents have a seamless experience from inquiry to move-in. By delivering superior customer service and promoting the benefits of the community, the Leasing Specialist contributes to resident satisfaction and retention, while supporting the overall success of the property management team. The Leasing Specialist will have excellent customer service skills, a strong sales ability, and a passion for helping prospective residents find their ideal living space.
Salary: $58,000 per year plus $150.00 for each rented unit
What You'll Get To Do
Customer Engagement & Leasing
Greet and engage prospective residents in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. Conduct tours of the community, showcasing apartment homes, amenities, and local benefits. Effectively present property features to meet prospective residents’ needs and close leases. Schedule and follow up on appointments, inquiries, and applications with a sense of urgency.
Application & Administrative Support
Assist applicants throughout the leasing process, including gathering necessary documents, initiating background checks, and preparing lease agreements. Accurately enter and maintain prospect and resident data in the property management system. Ensure timely processing of leasing paperwork and compliance with company policies and housing regulations.
Lease Renewals And Retention
Track upcoming lease expirations, proactively contact current residents to negotiate renewals, and issue proper legal notice documentation Maintain accurate records of renewal statuses, notices to vacate, and interaction logs in the property management software.
Marketing & Outreach
Support marketing initiatives by assisting with online listings, social media promotions, and community outreach efforts. Participate in resident events and property promotions to build community engagement and drive retention. Collaborate with team members to improve leasing strategies and identify market trends.
Property Representation
Maintain a professional and welcoming front office appearance. Ensure model apartments and tour paths are clean, staged, and tour-ready at all times. Act as a liaison between prospective residents and the property management team.
Who You Are
Strong understanding of residential property management principles is an asset. Proven ability to meet sales targets and deliver a high standard of customer service. Leasing and CRM software experience preferred (e.g., Yardi, RentCafe, AppFolio, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel between property sites.
