Desktop Support Analyst( L1/L2)
Location: North York, ON (On-site) Job Type: 1 year contract with extension Pay: 25/hr
Are you passionate about technology and enjoy solving technical challenges while delivering exceptional customer service? We're looking for a Desktop Support Technician for one of the largest North American Retailers.
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for end-user technical support, helping employees stay productive by resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, working with modern technologies, and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
What will you be doing? Provide hands-on desktop and technical support for end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral issues. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, monitors, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment. Respond to and resolve support requests through the company's ticketing system while meeting service level expectations. Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security groups within Active Directory. Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including connectivity, shared drives, VPN access, printers, and Wi-Fi. Support Windows 11 devices, including system updates, deployments, and upgrades. Document technical issues, resolutions, and knowledge base articles to improve team efficiency. Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT team members when required. Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating technical solutions clearly and professionally. Assist with workstation deployments, employee onboarding/offboarding, and hardware inventory management.
Must haves
2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, IT Help Desk, or Technical Support. Hands-on experience supporting Windows 11 environments. Experience using IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, Fresh service, Jira Service Management, or similar. Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user account creation, password resets, permissions, and group management. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, printers, and connectivity troubleshooting. Experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, monitors, and printers. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work on-site in North York, Monday to Friday.
