Atlantic Industries Limited is looking for a motivated and hardworking Summer Student to join our Deer Lake team. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a manufacturing and yard environment.
Reporting to the site supervisor, the successful candidate will assist with a variety of shop and yard duties including grinding, bundling and strapping materials, general labour support, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with grinding and finishing work
- Bundle and strap materials for shipment and storage
- Support yard and shop operations as needed
- Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling
- Maintain clean and organized work areas inside and outside the facility
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Provide general labour support to the production team
What We’re Looking For
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Safety-conscious and dependable
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude or experience using hand tools is considered an asset
- Previous labour, construction, or manufacturing experience is an asset
