Senior Specialist, Social Media & Digital (Bilingual)
About the role
Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes), is currently looking for a bilingual Senior Specialist, Social Media & Digital to join the Client Relations & Marketing department in our Montreal office.
This position requires full bilingual proficiency as this is a collaborative role at the national level and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, adapting and creating content on various platforms in both English and French as well as provide services to lawyers and professionals in both languages.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital and Brand, the Senior Specialist, Social Media and Digital drives the Firm’s social media presence — with a strong focus on LinkedIn — while supporting key digital initiatives across our platforms. This role owns social media execution end-to-end, including bilingual content development, campaign support, analytics, and performance optimization, alongside hands-on website and digital work to ensure seamless content delivery.
Social Media (75% of role)
Execute the Firm’s social media strategy across LinkedIn (English and French), Instagram (bilingual), X (English and French), and emerging platforms as required. Develop, adapt, and publish bilingual social media content aligned with brand voice and business priorities. Own and manage the social media content calendar and publishing workflows across English and French channels. Create and adapt select templated social content assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe Express, ensuring brand alignment. Monitor, analyze, and report on channel performance across English and French channels; translate insights into actionable recommendations. With the support of the Senior Manager, Digital & Brand, continuously optimize content strategy and channel approach based on platform trends, social listening, and test-and-learn initiatives. Collaborate on the strategy and lead the execution of organic and paid social campaigns, managing assets, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration. Manage community engagement and the social media inbox in both English and French; identify and escalate reputational risks as needed. Act as a brand steward, ensuring all social content adheres to the Firm’s voice, visual identity, and governance standards.
Digital & Web (25% of role)
Publish and update bilingual website content using the Firm’s CMS (Kentico); build and maintain landing pages for campaigns and initiatives. Perform quality assurance across digital properties to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. Support broader digital team operations, including workflows, intake, and prioritization. QA client-facing communications in French for accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.
Qualifications
Degree or professional certificate in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in social media management or digital marketing. Fully bilingual in English and French (written and verbal). Proven experience managing corporate social media channels, particularly LinkedIn. Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Kentico, WordPress, Sitecore, or similar). Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite) and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
Key Skills:
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and performance drivers. Ability to translate data and insights into practical, actionable recommendations. Experience with organic and paid social campaigns, including LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance and brand consistency. Excellent project management and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. Collaborative and service-oriented, with sound judgment in navigating potential reputational risks or sensitive issues.
