About The Role We are seeking an experienced and licensed Electrician to perform general preventive maintenance and repairs for a large 3PL warehouse in Brantford. This is a great opportunity to work a straight day shift in a very clean warehouse. The role also includes general repairs of the facility, industrial systems, equipment and facility grounds.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all routine building maintenance and annual building inspections, including preventative maintenance related to safety programs. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
• Reviews, prioritizes and performs company work orders daily to ensure completion of tasks and meeting deadlines
• Assist in providing estimates of time and materials needed to complete repair and necessary materials and supplies to complete proposed projects for approval
• Maintains the cleanliness of the facilities (indoors and outdoors) and ensures a clean workspace during the completion of projects on-site
• Complies with all applicable codes, environmental/government regulations, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include basic plumbing, kitchen equipment repairs, drywall repairs, concrete/carpet flooring repairs, roof and racking maintenance
• Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
• Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed
• Knowledge of effective and safe use of power tools
• Responds quickly to emergencies, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned and works in compliance with Food Safety Programs.

Requirements

• Licensed Electrician (442A preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of previous maintenance and/or handyman experience
• Working at Heights an asset
• First Aid & CPR preferred but not required
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to work well with a team
