Tasks As the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer/ Agente SST & Environnement, you will perform the following duties:

  • Lead by example at all times, providing open, honest, and direct feedback to employees
  • Promote Safety, Security, and Environmental awareness across both sites, driving a “Safety First” culture
  • Ensure all applicable regulations (CNESST, OSHA, Alberta OHS, ISO 14000 & 45001) and Lufthansa Group policies are met
  • Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented
  • Implement and support the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) at both stations
  • Attend quarterly safety meetings with airline customers, representing Lufthansa Technik Canada on safety matters
  • Support the implementation of new Safety and Environmental tools and processes, ensuring effective rollout and engagement
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Quality Manager

Requirements To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required

  • English and French (written and verbal) are essential

  • Min. 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/SHE) roles, ideally supporting multi-site operations

  • Familiarity with ISO 14000 and 45001 or equivalent Safety Management Systems

  • Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry, with familiarity with associated safety standards and regulatory frameworks

  • Willingness to travel frequently between sites in Canada and, occasionally, abroad as required by Lufthansa Group operations

  • Must possess a legal work permit in Canada

  • CV/Resume and Cover Letter required
