Our Vancouver office is seeking an Oracle EPM Technical Analyst to drive innovation and efficiency across our financial systems. You’ll bring expertise in Oracle EPM tools —including FCC, EPBCS, and Narrative Reporting—plus advanced skills in Groovy scripting, ASO/BSO cube architecture, and data integration . Experience with ARCS and PCMCS is an asset.

In this role, you’ll partner with Accounting, Finance, and IT to support month-end close, management reporting, and strategic projects . You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Oracle Cloud EPM solutions, coordinate multi-workstream projects, optimize workflows, validate data integrity, and deliver user training. Proficiency in EPBCS dimensions, member formulas, customizations, and complex business rules will enable you to integrate data from multiple platforms—empowering our finance team with timely, actionable insights.

About The Role You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and optimization of our Oracle Cloud EPM solutions, including FCC, EPBCS, Narrative Reporting , and related modules. Working closely with our Finance, Accounting, and IT teams, you will ensure the integrity of critical processes such as month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

You’ll be a key contributor to strategic projects, system integrations, and user training—helping West Fraser continually improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight across financial operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer & Enhance Oracle EPM applications to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial reports using SmartView, Narrative Reporting, and HS-GetValue.
  • Design & Optimize data integration workflows, allocation models, and calculation scripts for efficiency and scalability.
  • Maintain system metadata, hierarchies, cubes (ASO/BSO/Hybrid), web forms, dashboards, and security roles.
  • Automate business rules and integrations using Groovy scripting, Calc Manager, EPM Automate, REST API, and PowerShell.
  • Partner with Finance & FP&A teams to validate data integrity, ensure SOX compliance, and support workforce planning models.
  • Lead end-user training, create up-to-date documentation, and provide technical support for issue resolution.
  • Monitor Oracle quarterly updates, evaluate new features, and implement best-fit solutions.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of financial systems administration experience with Oracle EPM tools (FCC, PBCS/EPBCS, EDM, Narrative Reporting).

  • Expertise in Groovy scripting, Essbase calculations, SQL, and advanced business rule development.

  • Strong experience in data integration using ODI or equivalent ETL tools.

  • Proven ability to design and tune ASO/BSO cubes for performance.

  • Workforce planning expertise, including complex headcount and compensation models.

  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Preferred Assets:

  • Oracle Cloud/EPM certifications (e.g., Planning Cloud Implementation Specialist).

  • Experience with SOX controls, JIRA, ServiceNow, or version control tools.
