About the role

JSI is seeking an energetic, self-starter to fill a position Alternate Company Security Officer. The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Company Security Officer (CSO)

  • Process employee background checks and new employee security intake forms.
  • Follow-up with employees to assist and ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner for submission to security agencies.
  • File paper and electronic security files.
  • Look ahead to manage upcoming workload.
  • Conduct security briefings for employees.
  • Perform in-office new hire security onboarding briefing/ presentations.

Other:

  • Perform additional administrative or Security related duties as required.
  • Assist other team members with overflow/vacation workload(s).

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Have strong inter-personal and organization skills.

  • Have experience at an intermediate level with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

  • Have experience using PDF editing and signing programs.

  • Have experience working in an ERP program in a fast-paced environment.

  • Be comfortable meeting with people on a regular basis, both in person and on camera over virtual meetings.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain one or more government security clearances.

This permanent part-time position requires on average 24 hours per week. At this threshold, you will qualify for company benefits.

This hybrid work role requires in-office attendance at least 2 days per week at our offices in Kanata, Ontario.
