This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

One-year temporary position (maternity leave).

Your Role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Strategy, Content Licensing and Audience Development, you will oversee the development, production and promotion of Radio-Canada’s original digital audio content (podcasts and audiobooks).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the programming strategy for podcast content and audiobooks in conjunction with the Director, Independent Productions.
  • Identify, select and launch high-potential podcast projects, designing promotional strategies that align with management objectives.
  • Oversee the development, management and in-house production of original podcast and audiobook content assigned to project leads or to collaborators from other Radio-Canada business units.
  • Execute content marketing, distribution and promotional strategies in conjunction with other Radio-Canada departments.
  • Help develop and refine editorial guidelines for all digital audio properties.
  • Identify opportunities and manage new business models for production, distribution, promotion or monetization.
  • Prospect new audiences, identify emerging trends and implement audience growth strategies.
  • Assess in-house productions.
  • Identify, scout, train and manage talent to establish a centre of excellence for digital audio production.
  • Manage teams, budgets and production resources in an agile, flexible and innovative way.

What You Bring

  • University degree in communications or equivalent, with at least eight years’ relevant professional experience.
  • Proven track record in audiovisual content production and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and professional relationships across business units.
  • Proven skills at managing human resources.
  • Sharp business development acumen.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and sound judgment.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
