We are looking for a Financial Analyst to help grow our business and contribute to our future.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, including journal entries, general ledger and bank reconciliations, and accrual tracking. You’ll work closely with the Senior Finance Manager, Complex Accounting, contributing to everything from preparing financial statements and audit-ready documentation to developing insightful management reports. Other highlights of the position include:
- Assisting with annual audit and the preparation of assigned working papers and reports, ensuring appropriate support, audit trails, and review are documented in the information provided.
- Co-ordinating, developing, and preparing reconciliations and analysis on assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts and internal/external reports.
- Maintaining data and system integrity between the accounting ERP system and other systems either automatically or manually integrated to the ERP system.
- Developing and preparing monthly internal financial (e.g., profit and loss, balance sheet, statement of cashflows, capital expenditures) and management reports (e.g., segment, division, department, cost center, revenue, expense) and other ad hoc reports requested by the business.
- Supporting the development and preparation of external quarterly and annual financial reports (e.g., public financial statements and financial statement notes, MD&A, Annual Report, Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular, Business Acquisition Reports, Debt/Equity Prospectuses), ensuring Board and stakeholder requirements are fulfilled.
- Supporting the systems and processes associated with project accounting and business assets.
What you’ll need:
- University degree in Business Administration or Commerce
- Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or in active progress toward completion
- Strong knowledge of accounting policies, processes, IFRS, and financial management principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, linking, data tables, filtering)
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems (preferred)
- Ability to prepare and support cost-benefit analyses, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) methods

- Ability to work effectively with complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights
- Solid understanding of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear reports and presentations
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally with finance and non-finance teams
- Adaptability to work with evolving systems, processes, and reporting requirements
