Position: Senior Rebar Detailer / Project Coordinator

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed rebar shop and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, RebarCAD, and Bluebeam
  • Coordinate projects between engineering teams, fabrication shops, customers, and field personnel to ensure drawings are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Review structural drawings, specifications, blueprints, and engineering documents to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while tracking drawing revisions, RFIs, approvals, and project documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and internal teams to interpret design intent and provide accurate reinforcement detailing
  • Communicate with customers and project stakeholders regarding schedules, drawing updates, and project requirements
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure drawings meet company, client, and fabrication standards
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior detailers when required
  • Identify opportunities to improve detailing processes, workflow efficiency, and overall project execution

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Rebar Detailer, Draftsperson, or Project Coordinator within the reinforcing steel industry
  • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, RebarCAD, and Bluebeam
  • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction, rebar detailing, and fabrication processes
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to interpret structural drawings, engineering specifications, and construction documents
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across engineering, fabrication, and customer teams
  • Experience working directly with fabrication shops is considered a strong asset
  • Leadership or mentoring experience is an asset
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality work
