Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Under moderate supervision, the Senior Specialist Business Planning Specialist will focus on maximizing profits. Will oversee product / project costs and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance profitability. Responsibilities will include controlling product &, logistics costs, and driving new business development in the Aftermarket Sales business. This position will play a critical role in developing and executing the annual business plan that aligns with DENSO's Midterm direction and presenting data-driven proposals to senior leadership including monthly, quarterly, and annually as required. Promote PDCA management cycle to adapt to market changes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor plan (forecast) vs actual revenue, SG&A, and profit, and devise recovery plans if necessary to achieve plan. Effective execution includes collaboration with various functional groups including Sales, Accounting, Purchasing and Engineering.
- Identify, prioritize, and develop plans for product and service improvements, including resource allocation, budget creation, and inter-company price setting.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge and collaborate with DENSO North America Sales to initiate new business strategies, and sales expansion through analyzing market and competitor data.
- Actively engage in a broad spectrum of management challenges focused on enhancing business performance and profitability.
- Prepare and present data-driven strategic proposals to senior leadership.
- Understand Global and North America Headquarter goals for profitability and create recommendation and action plans to enhance profitability.
- Develop optimal solutions by thorough integration quality, cost, and deliver (QCD) considerations in collaboration with various internal departments.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in related field.
- Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
- Relevant experience in strategic planning, product management, cost analysis, preferably in manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in fast- paced environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with expertise in data analysis and presentation design.
- Strong ability to research, collect, and logically organize large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy, validation, and effective communication of key findings.
- Persistent and process-improvement oriented, with a demonstrated eagerness to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills, with a track record of translating data into actionable business insights.
- Proficiency in project-management methodologies and tools, with experience leading successful cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing business strategies and product improvements to support organizational goals.
