To learn more about us, please visit: https://www.alberta.ca/technology-and-innovation.The Data & Content Management (DCM) division within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation (TI) is accountable for the Government of Alberta Data Strategy; enterprise-wide content management advice and services including data, information and records services; and the government’s internal artificial intelligence program including robotic process automation.  The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) branch provides government-wide leadership, strategic direction and delivery of services related to the governance and management of content, information, and records to ensure they are managed in alignment with applicable legislation and policy instruments.Role Responsibilities *Are you ready to shape how the Government of Alberta manages information in a digital and AI-enabled world?   This is a unique opportunity to be on a team modernizing records practices and driving the integration of AI into how government manages information at scale.     The ECM branch is looking for a Senior Information Management (IM) Technical Analyst, who reports to the Content Management Advisor and provides senior technical expertise to design, implement, operationalize, and continuously improve enterprise content solutions within Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online (SPO) and Purview Records Management.  

The responsibilities of this role include

Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of enterprise information management solutions in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, Purview, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities. Develop and maintain classification, retention, lifecycle management, and records management solutions that align with legislative, regulatory, and organizational requirements. Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, compliant solutions, providing technical leadership throughout design, testing, deployment, and adoption. Provide expert advice and guidance on information management technologies, Microsoft 365 capabilities, enterprise standards, policies, and best practices. Collaborate with business areas, project teams, and technology partners to deliver integrated digital content management solutions and support organizational transformation initiatives. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to modernize information management services through automation, standardization, analytics, and emerging technologies. Ensure solution quality, compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture, information management standards, and technical design requirements.

Equivalencies:- A related master’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience; or- A related two-year diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience; or- A related one-year certificate and a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience; or- A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in lieu of formal education. Assets:- Professional designation in Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Information Professional (CIP), Certified Records Analyst (CRA), Information Governance Professional (IGP).- Microsoft SC 5007 — Purview Records & Compliance (Applied training).- Microsoft SC 400 — Information Protection & Compliance Administrator (Associate). Hours of Work: 7.25 hours daily / 36.25 weekly – Monday to Friday
