- This role is ideal for someone who loves focusing on the developer persona, who can zoom out to align strategy with long-term vision, and can zoom in to unblock complex technical initiatives
- 2+ years of product management experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly within SaaS and developer experience teams
- Strong technical background in software engineering and cloud computing technologies, with a strong grasp of JavaScript and related technologies
- Deep experience in technical domains—such as infrastructure, APIs, security, developer platforms, or backend systems
- Strong technical fluency and ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear product direction
- Understanding of semantic versioning in relation to SDKs and server APIs along with its impact on the SDLC process
- Ability to reason about product decisions with the focus on end to end latency and API reliability
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and shipping high-impact, high-reliability products
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with SaaS or developer platform environments (experience in security, identity, device intelligence, or data platforms is a plus)
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of Fingerprint’s platform and API products
- This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, technical depth, and cross-functional alignment
- As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for setting direction, driving execution, and ensuring our products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives, with a specific focus on our Platform services, JavaScript Agent, and APIs, which play a key role in supporting and delivering our flagship products: identification and smart signals
- Define and drive the product strategy for technical areas including our Platform, management and server APIs, and JavaScript Agent
- Partner with Engineering Management and Product Marketing team to ship and launch scalable, secure, and performant systems
- Create clear roadmaps that align with customer needs, business goals, and architectural strategy
- Partner with customer success to drive technical product discovery, requirements gathering, and cross-functional planning with stakeholders
- Deliver crisp, lean PRDs that capture user requirements and the “why’s” behind them
- Create powerful documentation that helps drive adoption and developer success
- Develop frameworks and KPIs for evaluating success and product quality across API and platform initiatives
