About the role

A career as a Director in Corporate and Institutional Cash Management within the Corporate Development and Cash Management Solutions team at National Bank Capital Markets means acting as a trusted and strategic advisor to corporate and institutional clients. In this individual-contributor role, you will design innovative, customized solutions to optimize cash management and financial operations for large corporations at regional, national, and international levels, while managing a strategic portfolio of major public, multinational, and domestic corporations. You will collaborate with internal partners to address complex client needs and deliver sophisticated cash management, payments and deposit, solutions, all while driving business development across a diversified range of industries.

Your Job

  • Develop and execute cash management strategies to maximize non-credit revenue.
  • Provide client care to an existing book of business as well as prospecting with Banking Partners
  • Advise clients on their cash flow needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic, high-value Capital Markets clients, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Capital Markets Treasury, Risk Management Solutions and Product and Technology partners, to deliver comprehensive client centric banking solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with cash management products.
  • Represent the Bank at external events, increasing its visibility in regional, national, and international markets.

Your Team You will be part of a dynamic team of about 12 professionals in Cash Management Solutions and a larger team of over 400 colleagues in Corporate and Investment Banking, within Capital Markets across Canada. You will report to the Senior Director - Cash Management, Corporate & Investment Banking.

This position is onsite, five days per week, based at our Toronto office.

Basic Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with at least 5 to 7 years of relevant corporate client relationship experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cash management and deposit gathering and in-depth knowledge of payments and associated financial products.
  • Experience working with large corporations and strong understanding of capital markets at both national and international levels.
  • Treasury Professional Certification (CTP) is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Regional travel up to 20% of the time.
