About the role

Company Overview

At Cadence Solutions, we’re in the business of solving meaningful problems—and enjoying the process while we do it. We specialize in solution discovery, design, and technology innovation, helping organizations unlock the full value of modern Microsoft platforms.

We do things differently here. Our clients trust us because we build smart, practical solutions that solve real challenges—and because we’re great people to work with. At Cadence, you’ll collaborate on impactful projects with global organizations, alongside a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and having fun while delivering excellent work.

We take our work seriously—but not ourselves. You’ll find a supportive, low-ego environment where learning is encouraged, ideas are welcomed, and people genuinely enjoy working together.

Role Overview

As a Junior IT Consultant, you’ll be an important contributor to client engagements, supporting projects from initial discovery through solution delivery. You’ll work closely with Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Technical team members to help translate client needs into clear requirements and high-quality deliverables.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys learning by doing, working directly with clients, and building a strong foundation in consulting, information management, and Microsoft-based solutions in a supportive, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Discovery & Requirements Support Participate in client workshops and discovery sessions to understand business needs and objectives. Collect, analyze, and document business requirements, including workflows, permissions, and system configurations. Assist in preparing requirement documents and functional specifications for review and approval. Act as a liaison between clients and technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Solution Delivery & Project Support

Support configuration and testing activities under the guidance of senior consultants. Assist with documenting solution decisions and ensuring deliverables align with agreed-upon requirements. Help bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

Testing, Adoption & Enablement

Assist in developing testing scripts with clear instructions and expected outcomes. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including coordination and documentation. Draft change management and training materials to support client adoption.

Collaboration & Communication

Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations and visual materials for client meetings, workshops, and status updates. Coordinate and assist with client meetings, ensuring agendas, notes, and follow-up actions are documented. Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Bring

New graduates welcome — Degree or Diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Interest in consulting, technology delivery, and working directly with clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to dig into the details. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint. Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to learn new technologies and methodologies. Prior IT or implementation experience is an asset. Experience with SharePoint, OpenText Content Server, or other ECM platforms is an asset. AIIM, ARMA, or similar certifications are considered an asset.

Why You’ll Love Working at Cadence

A supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture where people genuinely enjoy working together. Real opportunities for learning, mentorship, and career growth as your skills and interests develop. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including health and dental coverage, paid time off (including a paid Christmas office closure), RRSP matching, on-site parking, and more. A fun, forward-thinking environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and continuous improvement.

About Cadence Solutions

IT Services and IT Consulting
11-50 employees
Founded in 2013

Jordan Uytterhagen founded Cadence Solutions starting on your side of the table. He was working for a local municipality that was beginning a digital transformation project with an external vendor – a “Big logo” company. “Big Logo” continually broke promises, extended timelines and turned over resources. The result in only 3 months was an evaporated budget, delayed project, little trust and the termination of “Big Logo”.

Motivated by this experience, Jordan went out on his own with the mentality of “THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY!” His mandate, since establishing Cadence Solutions, has been to implement a project without losing the trust and confidence of the client.

Cadence Solutions has proven, time and again, that your project will be successful because we are authentic with unmatched experience. We bring cadence to every project. We will bring cadence to your organization.

Clients working with Cadence can expect:

Consistent Resourcing Named resources will be assigned on every project. Cadence does not do the bait and switch from high to low-quality resources.

Cost Control Cadence will ensure your project stays on budget by having transparent forecasting and realistic goals.

Honesty We will tell you the truth, even if it's difficult.

Delivery We always deliver what we say we are going to deliver.
