At JBS Equipment, we're looking for a hands-on Maintenance & Mechanical Repair Technician to join our team in Mission, BC.
The right person would be someone that is mechanically inclined and an all-around experienced handyman. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in our facility, including our fabrication and manufacturing shop. Responsibiliti
es:Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on shop tools, forklifts, welding machines, air compressors, cranes, and m oreDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical iss uesMaintain and repair general facility systems (lighting, plumbing, air systems, doors, et c.)Arrange and coordinate third party equipment service and inspecti onsSupport production with supply and management of equipment and shop consumab lesKeep maintenance records and plan repair work to reduce shop downt imeEnsure shop areas, tools, and equipment are kept in safe working or derSupport safety and cleanliness across the facil ityContinued development of maintenance plans for our equipm entQualificatio ns:Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role or comparable experie nceStrong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment iss uesOrganized, with strong communication ski llsMillwright, including red seal or apprentices, are an as setPrevious supervisory experience and skills are an as setRequired to supply basic set of tools and rolling toolbox within 30 days of employm entWorking Conditio ns:Work takes place both indoors and outdo orsDaily standing, walking, and use of ladders or to olsExposure to grease, oil, hydraulic fluid, paint, dust, and loud no isePPE required in shop ar easSchedule: Monday to Friday, either 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:3
