We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Silviculture Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all silviculture activities, ensuring sustainable forest management practices are implemented effectively. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field with valid RPF License.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in silviculture or forest management.
- Strong knowledge of silviculture practices and forest ecology.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in GIS and other forestry-related software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

In this role you will:
- Develop and execute silviculture plans in compliance with regional strategies.
- Manage and supervise silviculture operations , including planting, thinning, and pest control.
- Coordinate with contractors, universities, and foreign worker agencies to ensure workforce availability.
- Monitor and report on silviculture activities and their impact on forest health.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies .
- Prepare and manage budgets for silviculture projects.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
