Civil Engineer, Land Development

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Edmonton team. This position is
ideal for a motivated individual interested in building experience in water resources,
land development, and municipal engineering. Key responsibilities include assisting with
project design, preparing technical reports, supporting project managers with client
communications, and conducting site visits as needed. If you’re looking for a role that

What You’ll Do
You will take an intermediate role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across
the Edmonton region. Key responsibilities include:
Technical Experience
- Coordinate land development projects from preliminary engineering through
detailed design and construction to completion, applying technical knowledge
and gaining hands-on experience. Successfully coordinate multi-phase land
development projects for on-time completion and municipal approvals.
- Prepare engineering design drawings and comprehensive design reports,
including performing computer-assisted design and drafting using AutoCAD Civil
3D.
- Refine designs based on regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and
alignment with client’s objectives.
- Perform water resources engineering for storm water management projects and
water distribution systems.
- Conduct site observations and administer contracts for construction projects in
the Edmonton region.
Project & Client Management
- Deliver projects within established timeframes and budgets.
- Plan, organize, and design to best serve the needs of our clients.
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, stakeholders,
contractors, and municipal representatives.
Mentorship & Growth
- Mentor and support junior staff, promoting technical development and long-
term team success.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and help foster an environment of
continuous learning.
What You Bring
- A degree in Engineering from a recognized school with 5 - 8 years of civil
engineering experience in land development.
- Be immediately qualified to be registered with APEGA or ASET as a P. Eng
- Knowledge in municipal, water resources, transportation, and land development
engineering design, including design of municipal and related infrastructure
including sewage, water, roads, storm water, and drainage.
- Experience in construction and contract administration.
- Familiarity with municipal approvals process in the City of Edmonton and
surrounding municipalities.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and build strong client
relationships.
