What We Do in Alberta:
- Design and commission innovative building envelope systems.
- Assess and report on the condition of buildings, parkades, and sites.
- Conduct reserve fund studies for condos and communities.
- Lead remediation and rehabilitation projects for all building types.

What you can expect to do here:
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, sub-consultants, and colleagues to deliver innovative building science solutions.
- Lead and conduct site reviews during construction, ensuring quality and sustainability in building projects.
- Assess and report on the condition of buildings, parkades, and sites, providing actionable insights for clients.
- Drive remediation and rehabilitation projects for a variety of building types, making a tangible difference in communities.
- Apply sustainable thinking and best practices to every project, contributing to a greener future.
- Share knowledge and support the growth of the Building Science practice through mentorship and participation in our Centres of Excellence (COE) program.
What you’ll bring to WSP:

A degree or diploma in Building Science Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience in engineering or construction, with a focus on building systems design, consulting, renewal, or advisory roles.

Knowledge of building materials and construction processes for building envelopes, cladding systems, roofs, and parking structures.

Experience with Building Condition Assessments and/or Reserve Fund Study reporting.

Registration with APEGA or ASET is an asset.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within Western Canada and the North, with flexibility for extended or varied hours as needed.
