Job Title: Education Coordinator Location: CDI College – Surrey Campus Type: Full-time, In-Person Start Date: As Soon As Possible Compensation: $45,000 – $50,000 per year, plus PTO and benefits Job Summary The Education Coordinator is responsible for managing the education department and instructor team to ensure the seamless delivery and implementation of all academic programs. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of operational compliance, fostering an environment of student success, and ensuring all educational activities align with regulatory and company requirements. Key Responsibilities Student Success & Retention
Drive student retention rates by implementing success strategies based on academic performance data and student feedback.
Manage student attendance, assessment outcomes, and ensure all student files are maintained in strict accordance with regulatory standards.
Coordinate student-facing events, including orientations and graduation ceremonies.
Serve as a primary point of contact for resolving student concerns.
Faculty Leadership & Development
Recruit, onboard, and supervise academic staff.
Evaluate classroom instruction, providing constructive feedback to enhance teaching practices and student engagement.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement through faculty training, development activities, and regular performance reviews.
Motivate and inform instructors regarding company objectives, curriculum updates, and new educational directions.
Department Operations & Administration
Develop quarterly course schedules that optimize instructional resources while maintaining accreditation standards and quality outcomes.
Oversee education department operations to ensure program deliverables are met and students receive a high-quality learning experience.
Collaborate with Student Services and Career Services to achieve institutional targets.
Manage the selection and effective use of educational technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), tablets, and course materials.
Program Development & Compliance
Coordinate the creation and refinement of programs of study, syllabi, and instructional materials.
Ensure all programs remain responsive to industry demands through ongoing market research.
Support all accreditation processes, applications, and site visits to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Build professional relationships with government, corporate, and community organizations to support business and program growth.
Position Requirements Education & Experience
Degree from a recognized university or college in a relevant discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of education, preferably in adult education.
A credential in adult education (or in-progress) is considered an asset.
Skills & Abilities
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to interact with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire diverse student and faculty populations.
Problem Solving: Proven capacity to identify operational challenges, develop effective solutions, and execute actionable plans independently.
Organization: High level of organizational proficiency with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Professionalism: Commitment to high standards of behavior, quality service, and equitable treatment of students and staff.
