ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Flight Attendant at Air Inuit, you are the face of safety and comfort in the skies. Your mission is to ensure every passenger feels secure and cared for throughout their journey. Guided by the Flight Attendant Manual, you perform essential safety procedures, deliver clear announcements, and manage on-board services with professionalism and poise. You actively contribute to the company’s Safety Management System and adapt to any additional duties assigned by the Chief Flight Attendant. This role demands vigilance, empathy, and the ability to create a positive travel experience—every flight, every time.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout every flight.
- Execute all duties in alignment with the Air Inuit Flight Attendant Manual and regulatory standards.
- Actively contribute to the company’s Safety Management System, fostering a culture of vigilance and care.
- Deliver accurate safety announcements and demonstrations before take-off, landing, and whenever required.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee on-board services to create a seamless passenger experience.
- Respond to evolving needs and perform additional tasks as directed by the Chief Flight Attendant.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
- Valid passport and ability to travel.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Inuktitut is considered an asset.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with the public in a customer-facing role.
- Availability to complete and successfully pass the Transport Canada-approved 6-week training program in Montreal.
- Flexible schedule: able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and be away from home for several days at a time.
- Meets health requirements, including a pre-employment medical evaluation and drug screening (legal and illegal substances).
- Meets judicial requirements, including a pre-employment criminal record check.
- Professional appearance, reliability, and commitment to representing Air Inuit standards.
COMPENSATION
- Salary and benefits are determined according to company policy.
- Entry salary of 43, 477.50$ on an annual basis and an increase after 6 months of continuous service.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Locations: Montreal based and travel through Air Inuit’s network (14 Nunavik communities and beyond)
- Position Type: Permanent, full-time
- Compensation: Based on a 40-hour work-week
- Schedule : 17 workdays with 11 non-consecutive days off per month
