Overview Reporting directly to the Allocation Manager, the Allocation Analyst works closely with Buying, Planning, Sales & Operations. Ensures optimal inventory levels at all times in all stores in order to maximize sales and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Distribute new orders of merchandise to a chain of stores following best business practices.
- Manage inventory assuring that optimal levels of inventory are respected across the stores.
- Prepare and analyse weekly performance and understand needs of different stores for different product categories.
- Support buying decisions related to product selection based on sales volume, location, capacity, and trends.
- Elaborate assortment plans quantities for future seasons.
- Assess seasonally product performance by size, and build sizes curves according to divisional requirements.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports at the product and store level at the end of each season and perform recalls where and when needed.
- Build strong relationships with buyers and the Sales & Operations’ team.
Requirements
- College degree (A.E.C. or D.E.C.) in related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum 1 year of distribution experience (an asset).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Established Excel skills.
- Strong communication, time management, and team work skills.
- A passion for retail fashion and current trends.
