We are currently seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Receptionist / Optometrist Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

Qualifications
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Professional, friendly, and positive attitude
- Previous optical or healthcare experience is considered an asset, but is not required
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Entering and maintaining patient information accurately
- Pre-testing patients prior to appointments (training provided)
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Billing and processing insurance claims
- General front desk and clerical duties, including filing, scanning, and faxing
- Contacting patients to book eye examinations and recalls
- Balancing payments and completing end-of-day procedures
Position Details
- Full-Time:
- Position based at our Membertou location but some paid travel to our location in Glace Bay is required.

IRIS is constantly expanding in the Canadian market.
