We are looking for a Manager, People & Culture to join our team*.* You'll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, from onboarding, training, crafting HR policies, employee engagement, workplace safety, and more! You will ensure we comply with current regulations, and that all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You'll also act as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct employee onboarding and orientation
  • Lead talent acquisition, recruitment processes and employer branding initiatives
  • Develop and implement human resource policies
  • Support in compensation and benefit plan administration and training, as required
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to the client group in employee relations issues, including company policies & procedures, recruitment & selection, performance management, job evaluations, terminations, training & development, and benefits administration
  • Front-line representative for employee questions or concerns (ie. Benefits, payroll, training, etc.) in assigned client group
  • Process organizational structure updates, HRIS updates, manage organizational charts, create job requisitions, process promotions, job changes, etc.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful metrics to help improve our department and workforce
  • Organize quarterly employee performance reviews and professional development plan meetings
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate and confidential employee files and records on our HRIS systems
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, suggesting and developing new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Participate in and promote company social committee
  • Co-chair company health and safety program
  • Ensure compliance with labour regulations
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and provincial requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records and representing the organization at hearings.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements & best practices to influence human resources strategies.

What You'll Need:

  • Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources and obtained (or working towards) HR Management Certification
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. Push Operations) will be a plus
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, requiring little direction
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Solid computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer focused and able to nurture positive customer relationships
  • Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem-solve
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service with strong sense of urgency
