Reporting to the Total Rewards Manager and acting as a Total Rewards Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the annual processes handled by the total compensation team in both Canada and the United States, as well as managing projects and initiatives.
You will play an advisory role with our internal clients, primarily human resources business partners, and act as a reference for team members in various projects and activities.
The Role With the help of Total Rewards specialists, you will be responsible, with limited supervision from the manager, for managing and coordinating the following projects:
Total rewards (60%)
- Manage annual salary reviews (salaried and hourly employees);
- Manage short-term and long-term bonus programs for all employee groups;
- Conduct job evaluations and approve salary recommendations;
- Coordinate participation in relevant salary surveys and analyze data (Canada and US);
- Collaborate on year-end processes (validation of taxable benefits for employees with company vehicles, health checkups, health management accounts, equivalence factors, etc.);
- Manage the group insurance re-enrollment and rate renewal campaign (Canada only);
- Manage the pay equity process (every 5 years).
Project management (20%)
- Participate in or manage, depending on the type of project, various projects and initiatives of the Total Compensation team related to direct compensation, pension plans, and group insurance, such as:
- Implementation of new HRIS tools;
- Improvement of compensation processes and programs;
- Changes in suppliers;
- Communication and education regarding these programs.
Coaching and reference (20%)
- Act as a resource person for human resources managers and managers on issues related to compensation, pension plans, and benefits;
- Act as a reference for total compensation specialists;
- Participate in the development of total compensation team members.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in compensation and benefits, ideally in an international company;
- University degree (bachelor's) in actuarial science, administration, human resources, or any other field related to the position;
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
- Excellent command of Office Suite (advanced level in Excel), HRIS, Google Suite;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels of the organization;
- Demonstrate initiative and autonomy;
- Maintain a high level of customer service by being thorough;
- Perfectly bilingual in French/English, both spoken and written (employees in Canada and the US).
