The Opportunity

As a Business Development Associate , you’ll play a key role in driving advisor engagement, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the success of our sales team. This role is an excellent entry point into wholesaling and offers exposure to industry-leading professionals, tools, and career pathways in investment sales.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Inside Sales Representatives and Wholesalers to execute territory sales strategies and drive advisor engagement
  • Proactively schedule advisor meetings, monitor engagement activity, and ensure timely follow-up to maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Contribute to sales culture by participating in incentive programs and leveraging outreach tools, including video messaging, to expand advisor connections
  • Coordinate advisor events, webinars, and sponsorships in collaboration with marketing and compliance teams, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business priorities
  • Maintain CRM (Salesforce) data with accuracy to support territory insights, pipeline health, and compliance with NI 81-105 guidelines
  • Provide operational and administrative support, including calendar management, meeting logistics, expenses, and documentation, while assisting on broader sales initiatives and projects
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver seamless advisor experiences and drive measurable business outcomes

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of sales, business development, or financial services experience (asset management experience an asset)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator who is comfortable engaging with financial advisors and partners
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), MS Office, and digital outreach tools
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a desire to build a long-term career in investment sales
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or willingness to complete it within the first year
