Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Supervisor to plan and organize weekly work schedules.
- Guide and train greenhouse staff on job duties and safe work practices.
- Help assign daily tasks and make sure everyone understands what needs to be done.
- Motivate your team to meet daily and hourly production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for the next day.
- Learn to safely operate motorized equipment as required.
- Communicate with the Supervisor to solve any work or task-related issues.
- Take an active role in production work, including:
- Sticking cuttings, seeding, planting, and transplanting
- Spacing and moving plants
- Pinching, picking orders, loading trucks, and preparing for delivery
- Counting inventory and preparing materials for production
- General cleaning, maintenance, and greenhouse upkeep
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable.
- Physically capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Basic plant knowledge is an asset, but not required.
- Previous production or greenhouse experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills (additional experience is an asset).
