Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly board meetings, contributing ideas and strategies to support the Foundation's goals.
- Help plan and execute fundraising events and initiatives to boost community engagement and financial support.
- Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and implement long-term strategic plans.
- Act as an ambassador for the Foundation, promoting its mission and values within the community.
- Provide guidance and oversight on financial and operational matters to ensure effective resource management.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Passion for community service and commitment to improving healthcare services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse groups.
- Experience in fundraising, event planning, or strategic planning is an asset.
- Ability to dedicate 0-3 hours per week to board activities and meetings.
- Willingness to engage with community members and stakeholders to promote the Foundation's initiatives
- Must be located in West Nipissing or surrounding area

About West Nipissing General Hospital
The West Nipissing General Hospital is a smaller rural Hospital in Northern Ontario built in 1977. We are fully committed to the delivery of quality primary healthcare to the residents of West Nipissing and surrounding areas by providing clean, modern facilities and excellent support services. We currently have 98 beds (27 Medical/ Surgical, 2 Pediatric, 2 Enhanced Care Unit, 19 Complex Continuing Care and 48 Long-Term Care) plus a 24-hour Emergency Department. The WNGH also takes pride in our multicultural approach to patient care that is based on respect, compassion, caring and a safe healthy environment.
