Role Description
The Warehouse – Shipping/ Receiving Coordinator supports the daily logistics and shipping functions within the warehouse environment in our Calgary location. This role works closely with other shipper/receivers to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely processing of incoming and outgoing products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. NextGen Automation includes a team of highly trained technical sales force as well as customer service team with strong product knowledge, technical aptitude, and a commitment to first-class customer service. You would be expected to work alongside a highly trained team to maintain a high level of customer service for our new and existing customer base.
Daily responsibilities will include the following
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Match packing slips to incoming shipments; verify contents and report any discrepancies.
- Verify that all shipments are received complete and damage-free, and accurately documented.
- Pack, label, and ship customer orders using courier systems and local delivery methods.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, courier labels, and return forms.
- Package and process product returns to vendors, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
- Coordinate parts orders and verify outbound shipments for completeness and accuracy.
- Communicate issues related to missing or damaged stock, short shipments, or delivery problems to finance and relevant vendors or carriers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and shipping areas.
- Collaborate with internal teams including technicians, customer service, and finance to ensure seamless supply chain processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and logistics functions.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in a shipping/receiving or logistics coordination role.
- Familiarity with courier platforms (e.g., Purolator, FedEx, UPS) and preparation of shipping documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel); experience with shipping or ERP systems is an asset.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
