Position We're looking for someone to help design, build out, and manage all aspects of our on-prem and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with various teams (product managers, project managers, analysts, developers, support) and where multiple hats, to ensure we are always delivering value to our customers. You will gain in-depth knowledge of our application and help troubleshoot/diagnose customer issues. We need someone with great listening skills and time management – and will be given ownership and autonomy to drive projects to completion. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and strive for innovation. They must also have well developed technical acumen and ability to learn on the fly.

Qualifications Good understanding of networking technologies, cloud load balancers, and firewalls

  • Networking Expertise: Profound understanding of the latest networking technologies, including cloud load balancers, firewalls, and software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
  • Infrastructure Services: In-depth knowledge of core infrastructure services such as LDAP, Active Directory, DNS, SMTP, and experience with service monitoring and messaging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Datadog HQ, etc.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience in provisioning systems, maintaining security, and access management within popular public cloud service providers, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • CI/CD Competence: Working knowledge of cutting-edge CI/CD tools and basic administration skills in tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Cloud Computing Expertise: A deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and solutions, encompassing public, private, hybrid clouds, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) with a focus on technologies like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Nutanix.
  • Cloud Security Acumen: Proficiency in cloud security principles, including IAM Roles & Policies, Security Groups, Encryption keys, and knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Networking Prowess: Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge for both cloud and on-premises deployments, covering DNS, network, routing, and L3/L7 protocols.
  • Storage Technology: Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with storage technologies, including solutions from vendors like Dell, Netapp, and Nutanix.
  • Windows Expertise: Proficiency in Windows Servers, Active Directory administration, RDS Services, IIS, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Virtualization Proficiency: Strong understanding and extensive experience in virtualization implementation, management, and troubleshooting, including hypervisors like Nutanix, VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Data Center Migration: Experience in planning and executing data center migrations is a significant advantage.
  • Cloud-Based DNS: Experience in managing cloud-based DNS solutions, particularly with Cloudflare, Amazon, Azure and GoDaddy.
  • Scripting and Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or any other language.
  • Web Technologies Knowledge: Understanding of HTTP, TLS, and CDN standards and technologies.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect is a plus.
  • Network Security: Experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and leading network devices, including firewall configurations and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • 24/7 Support: Willingness and capability to provide after-hours, 24/7, 365-day support for cloud operations and handle level 2-3 application support tickets and manage/install Jonas's software on Server.
