This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines. This is a one-year temporary position. Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Operations, you will join the Digital Media team where a major initiative is underway to modernize Radio-Canada’s digital ecosystem and make it more resilient in an evolving media environment. This work will be carried out in close co-operation with various departments and will help shape the public broadcaster’s future.
As a key member of the Digital Media Training team, you will focus on preparing, planning, co-ordinating and delivering training courses, as well as developing innovative learning formats that facilitate seamless knowledge transfer for users of our internal digital systems.
Key Tasks
- Prepare, plan, co-ordinate and lead training sessions on computer programs, software applications and related workflows (content management systems [CMSs], Jira, AI) and tailor them to various internal audiences using tools such as Articulate.
- Organize information sessions covering technology tools and workflows, keeping users informed of updates, new features or other relevant changes.
- Analyze user requirements to determine the best ways to utilize programs and software, then design and deliver training solutions to meet those needs in the appropriate learning format (e.g., instructor-led or e-learning).
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures for using various computer programs and software applications; design and roll out operational workflows, serving as the primary point of contact for user inquiries and troubleshooting.
- Translate and distribute relevant documentation to support end-users.
- Complete the appropriate forms and documents; prepare the necessary correspondence and reports based on available information, following up as required.
- Familiarize others with their job by explaining your own duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum three years’ relevant experience in corporate training, educational technology or a related field, including at least one year focused on distance learning.
- Strong digital literacy with a proven track record of creating innovative classroom training and e-learning content.
- Strong ability to analyze user needs.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Jira and Confluence) an asset.
- Languages: Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) an asset.
- Knowledge of lean management principles an asset.
Personal Attributes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and large-scale transformation projects.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
