Role: Production Support Engineer – Capital Markets
Location: Toronto 4 days a week onsite Duration: 12 months
We are looking for an experienced Application Production Support Engineer with a strong background in Capital Markets / Investment Banking to support mission-critical front-office applications in a fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2/L3 Production Support for front-office applications Manage Incident, Problem & Change Management (ITIL) Coordinate application releases, bug fixes, and enhancements Improve system reliability through automation and CI/CD Perform capacity planning and disaster recovery coordination Maintain technical documentation and runbooks Collaborate with business, technology, vendors, and compliance teams Participate in on-call and weekend release rotations Must-Have Skills: 7–12 years of Application/Production Support (L2/L3) Experience supporting enterprise applications Python (or similar scripting language) Linux/Windows administration Strong SQL skills ITIL (Incident, Problem & Change Management) Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and proactive monitoring Prior experience in Capital Markets / Investment Banking (Highly Preferred) Nice-to-Have: Monitoring: Geneos, AppDynamics, Dynatrace Scheduling: Control-M, Autosys DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible Cloud & Containers: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes Exposure to Salesforce, Dealogic, Capital IQ or similar Capital Markets platforms Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
