About the role
Echo NDE is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corporation and provides full service non-destructive testing, inspection, and integrity services throughout North America. Our wide array of services is tailored towards maintenance, integrity, construction for both facility and pipeline sectors to a range of industries. Position Details We are currently seeking a Certified UT/MT Technician to support our Western Canada Operations. This is a full-time position will be based out of Calgary, with travel to and from multiple worksites throughout Western Canada.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate testing equipment.
- Conducts tests on parts, following procedures established for specified inspection task being performed.
- Evaluate results according to specifications and standards.
- Assist with various other inspection tasks.
- Organize and report test result.
- Adhere to all company quality and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- CGSB Ultrasonic Testing (UTI or UTII)/Magnetic Particle Testing (MTII).
- Preference for tank inspection experience.
- Possess good analytical skills, detail oriented.
- Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
- Be able to pass a vision and color detection test.
- Willing to learn and assist in various inspection techniques.
- Possess a valid driver’s license minimum (class 5) with a clean driving record.
- Able to work well within a team environment.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to work long hours and weekends away from home base.
- Willingness to travel throughout Canada to complete inspection projects.
