About the role

Primary Purpose & Scope

The Senior Marketing Manager will support the growth and brand visibility of TCC’s loyalty marketing solutions in the North American market, while contributing to North American sales initiatives.

This role will focus on three key areas:

  • B2B Marketing Strategy & Execution: Support the execution of integrated inbound and outbound marketing tactics, working with regional and global teams to generate leads and increase TCC’s visibility with Canadian grocery retailers.
  • Pitch Development & Sales Enablement: Collaborate with Sales and Solutions teams to develop pitch materials and marketing proposals tailored to the North American grocery market.
  • Omnichannel Loyalty Campaign Implementation: In direct contact with retailer clients, manage campaign implementation across the retailer's store estate. This includes ensuring marketing deliverables are briefed, signed off and executed across all platforms and exciting Instore events, supported by activation across all other relevant channels (digital, mobile, social etc.).

Role & Responsibilities

The role, as part of the Marketing function, is focused on supporting the priorities set out by the Commercial Director North America and the Head of New Markets & Enablement.

B2B Marketing

  • Support the Commercial Director and Senior sales leaders with planning around brand positioning, identifying target audiences, and developing marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Executing on the TCC comms through the creation and distribution of marketing content across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and events. This includes outbound, Inbound and ABM tactics to test, and evolve lead-nurturing activity
  • Event management: Planning, venue finding, project management, agency management and execution of major external events, including trade shows.

Pitch Development and Sales Enablement

  • Working closely with Sales to support development of winning pitches including, being part of the client-facing pitch team. This will involve collaborating with the Solutions team, designers, Insight and taking ownership of Copywriting and presentation creation - supported by the Head of New Markets and Enablement.
  • Working with the wider Global Marketing team, create Omnichannel loyalty solutions and campaigns that connect directly with the retailer's objectives.
  • Collaborating with the Global Insight team to commission research projects, analyse current customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis and marketing best practices, to build successful pitches.

Omnichannel Loyalty Campaign Implementation

  • Working with internal and external design teams to develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all campaign communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
  • Liaise with printers to achieve quality, cost and service levels that align to TCC best practice and client expectations.
  • Develop close and collaborative working relationships with Marketing counterparts at retailer client organisations. Advocate for excellent campaign activation.

  • External: Clients (major grocery retailers), Brand Partners, Printers, Agencies, Event companies

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Must-have experience:

  • B2B Marketing Expertise: Proven track record developing and executing inbound and outbound marketing strategies in a B2B environment.
  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Strong ability to leverage CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and digital channels to generate leads and measure marketing ROI.
  • Retail/Shopper/Consumer Brand Experience: Understanding of consumer behaviour and marketing strategies within retail, shopper, or consumer products.
  • Pitch Development & Presentation Skills: Experience in creating compelling pitches, proposals, and sales-enablement materials; excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Client-Facing Aptitude: Comfortable presenting to senior executives; strong relationship-building skills.
  • This role requires a good understanding of Canadian retail and consumer marketing trends, especially within the grocery sector.

Nice-to-have experience:

  • Grocery Industry Exposure: Familiarity with grocery retailers or related shopper marketing segments.
  • Event Management: Ability to plan and execute trade shows, client summits, or industry events to drive lead gen and brand visibility.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment; adaptability to changing demands.

  • Flexibility & Resilience: Willingness to accommodate occasional overtime, travel (c.2 times per month within North America, once per year internationally), and to thrive under pressure.
  • The candidate for this position should have at least 5+ years of Marketing experience and ideally a degree in a marketing related field.
