Temp Contract Role until December 2026

Position Summary

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Associate supports the accounts payable function in accordance with established organizational policies, procedures, and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate regular cheque runs, including printing, sorting, and distribution Coordinate cheque delivery, including courier arrangements and pick-ups Download, track, and process utility invoices to ensure timely payment Process a high volume of invoices with accuracy and attention to detail Code and review invoices, ensuring deadlines are met Investigate and resolve invoice and account discrepancies Administer electronic invoice processing systems as required Maintain and update vendor records Process void cheque requests, including initiating stop payments when required Manage recurring payables, post-dated cheques, and other monthly processes Respond to inquiries from vendors, property managers, and internal stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume accounts payable or data entry role Basic knowledge of accounting principles, specifically accounts payable processes Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Technical Competencies

Strong numeric data entry accuracy and speed Effective customer service skills Advanced system proficiency and ability to learn new tools
