The Operations Supervisor will assist with staff supervision, coaching and scheduling and create a safe and secure home-like environment for clients, families and staff. Operations Supervisor may also provide customer service and intake coordination to referral sources, clients and families and liaise with stakeholders to ensure client schedule and funding needs are met, including completion and maintenance of service agreements.
**This is a 1 Year contract role and is for the York and GTA region**
Your role:
- Supervise and provide direction to staff
- Assist in ensuring that Direct Support Staff are scheduled in the homes
- Collaborate with Clinical, Operations Managers and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst where applicable to develop monthly activity recreational plan.
- Collaborate with the Clinical team to ensure follow through on contracted services, including the Individual Support Plan (ISP)/ Plan of Care (POC), and Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) protocols.
- Assist in ensures adherence to policies and procedures as well as regional licensing requirements.
- Assist in training and onboarding of Direct Support Staff
- Provide applicable information to Manager for probation and annual performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
- Ensures that mandatory and annual training requirements are complete
- Report workplace injuries
- Assist Operations Managers to ensure accurate records of house petty cash and the client’s personal
- Assists with monitoring client’s finances (expenditures, reimbursements, may include reconciling the client’s personal funds at month end). Completes audits as per policy
- Assists Operations Managers to ensure completion of recreation/activity summaries are completed and submitted.
- Complete monthly summaries for funder
What you will need to be successful
Required Qualifications:
- Have a certificate from a related field such as a diploma in Behavior Science, Developmental Service Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Psychology, Social Work and/or equivalent**.**
- Bring at least two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role providing support to youth or adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs
- Hold a current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Hold a valid Class G drivers' license with clean abstract
- Provide a clear Broad Sector Screen dated within the last 3 months
- Provide an initial medical form and an up-to-date Immunization Record
- Effective oral and written communication skills with proven interpersonal abilities
- Strong administrative and time management skills is a must
- Be prepared to participate in Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) Training (de-escalation and physical management training)
- Be able to provide employee development and coaching in a teamwork environment
- Ability to be well organized, flexible, detail-oriented and focused on excellence in customer service
