This is a temporary full-time position covering a one-year maternity leave commencing in January 2026.
**Your areas of responsibility will include:**o Manage full cycle bookkeeping. o Reconcile accounts.o Prepare HST returns.o Review and process A/P and A/R reports.o Manage client invoicing and receipt of payments.o Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.o Post journal entries using QB, QBO, Sage, and other software as necessary.o File source deductions, WSIB, tax payments and other government remittances.o Maintain open communication with team members and manager. o Maintain ongoing communication with clients. o Attend and participate in team meetings. o Assess and manage workload. o Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Competencies: o Two years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping required.o Two years of customer service experience required.o Experience using QuickBooks required.o Post secondary education related to bookkeeping preferred.o Industry related experience in farming, agriculture, manufacturing, or commercial and residentials rental properties considered an asset.o Strong knowledge of software including as MS Word, Excel, Teams, QBO, Sage, Eagle. o Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated high level of precision and accuracy.o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. o Highly organized and demonstrated ability meets deadlines. o Analytical, solutions oriented, resourceful. o Ability to remain professional and adaptable in a changing environment.o Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
