Career Opportunity

Looking for a new opportunity? We are looking for a Manager, Retail Leasing and Commuter Parking to join our team!

What You Will Do

  • Oversee leasing and management of retail spaces and commuter parking facilities across the TTC network.
  • Develop strategies to attract and secure long-term retail tenants and optimize parking operations.
  • Negotiate commercial real estate leases and manage property occupancy to maximize revenue.
  • Investigate new opportunities and recommend policies to increase TTC revenue.
  • Direct and manage staff performance
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external agents, including City of Toronto, consultants, and developers.
  • Conduct site inspections of retail spaces and parking facilities to ensure compliance and maintenance.
  • Prepare reports, budgets, and updates for senior leadership and TTC Board meetings.
  • Review and comment on legal agreements with third parties; participate in vendor contract negotiations and selection.
  • Lead and manage a small team to deliver high-quality service and meet performance goals.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and accessible work environment in line with TTC’s commitments under OHRC and AODA.
  • Stay informed about market trends and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
  • Step in for the Director, Property when required.

What Qualifications Do You Bring

  • Completion of a university degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proven experience in retail leasing, property management, and parking facility operations, ideally in a large-scale public transit, retail, or public sector environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple leases, contracts, and stakeholder relationships at the same time.
  • Experience managing revenue-generating programs and projects, including long-term leasing and parking operations.
  • Solid understanding of customer engagement strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating proposals, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to identify revenue opportunities and convert them into successful partnerships.
