Temporary 0.5 Fte Teacher Required GOLD RIVER SECONDARY SCHOOL Effective Immediately to June 30, 2026 School District 84 engages in preferential hiring of self-identified First Nations applicants in all positions in accordance with section 42 (Special Programs) of BC's Human Rights Code.

Teaching assignment may include, but may not be limited to :
- Workplace math, Sr Career education , Literacy support to vulnerable students, Sr. Academic support to vulnerable students, Other electives as needed.
The successful candidate will be :
- willing and flexible to teach other subjects and in an outdoor setting as required;
- be physically capable to perform the duties of the position.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid BC Certification with the TCB, with qualifications and experience at the secondary level with a major in Science and/or Math and training and/or experience in current methodologies and strategies applicable to high school Science or Math. Recent experience teaching BC Curriculum Grades 8 to 12 Math and/or Science
- An intimate knowledge of the Nuu Chah Nulth Language & Culture, and experience teaching in Nuu Chah Nulth.
