About the Role
We’re looking for a Materials Supervisor to lead our materials team and ensure accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and reliable support for production and shipping operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations while driving improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and overall performance.

What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate the materials team to meet departmental goals.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure employees are trained and equipped to perform effectively.
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
- Partner with production, purchasing, and shipping to maintain seamless material flow.
- Provide flexibility to support other shifts as needed.
Materials & Inventory Operations
- Oversee all material movements, from receiving to final shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.
- Manage and improve cycle counting processes to maintain system accuracy.
- Identify and resolve material discrepancies, and ensure data integrity in ERP systems.
- Work closely with Finance, Purchasing, and Quality teams to meet production needs.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and material handling efficiency.
- Develop and implement standard work procedures and best practices.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles to streamline operations.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take action to address gaps.
- Use data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure departmental goals align with company objectives and production requirements.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 3 years of experience in materials, logistics, or warehouse leadership, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, material flow, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments.
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to support alternate shifts when needed.
