About the role
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing Windows Server environments, overseeing Active Directory authentication, and maintaining critical Microsoft services such as DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services. Your goal will be to align business strategies with technology initiatives by designing and implementing innovative IT architecture solutions that ensure secure and highly available organizational operations. Your Responsibilities
- Active Directory and Entra ID Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain structures that align with organizational requirements and best practices
- User and Group Management: Create, modify, and manage user and service accounts, groups, and permissions to ensure secure and efficient access to network resources
- Group Policy Management: Develop and enforce Group Policies to standardize and secure desktop and server configurations, application settings, and security settings across the network
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to Active Directory and Entra ID, authentication, multi-factor authentication (MFA) and access control in a timely and efficient manner
- Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
- Backup and Recovery: Establish and maintain reliable backup and recovery processes for Active Directory, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of data loss or system failure
- Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate Active Directory and Entra ID services with other systems, applications, and infrastructure components
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures
- Upgrades and Patch Management: Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure the security and performance of the Active Directory environment
- Monitoring and Reporting: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address issues and generate regular reports on system performance and security

Your Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems—or a professional diploma with substantial experience—paired with 7 years of hands-on expertise in system architecture, design, development, and deployment
- Proven background as an Active Directory and Entra ID Administrator in large enterprise environments, with strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services, and Group Policy management and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of security best practices and their implementation within Active Directory and Entra ID; proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management; familiarity with backup and recovery solutions; and experience adhering to security principles across infrastructure
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Identity and Access Administrator Associate are advantageous; experience designing Microsoft Infrastructure and Applications (System Center/Intune, SCCM, M365), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and working knowledge of Linux distributions like RedHat and Ubuntu
