As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Service Desk you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of IT professionals.
This is a backfill position.
What You’ll Do You’ll act with integrity to:
- Work collaboratively with internal clients
- Exercise judgement, tact and discretion while providing services in a sensitive political work environment
You’ll support our collaboration as you:
- Have a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Are a quick learner of IT technical concepts and willing to assimilate new information effectively
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
How You Qualify You demonstrate excellence through your:
- Experience as a post-secondary student, must be currently enrolled full time in an accredited post-secondary program for the winter/spring term 2025
- Keen desire to learn and apply Windows 11, Office 365 and IT Cloud Technologies
- Knowledge of HW and SW as it applies to a modern workplace
- Review, update requests and incident tickets
- Awareness of software and hardware image deployment tools
- Assist with asset inventory processes such as move, track, record and disposal
- Good in-person and telephone client support skills
- Good grasp of TCP/IP Networking, VOIP, WiFi concepts and VPN Technologies
- Awareness of the importance of Antivirus and Malware in keeping the workplace safe
- Technical troubleshooting skills for Desktops, Laptops, Printers and Mobile Devices
