About the Position
The Centre for Health and Wellness invites applications for a Program Assistant who will play a pivotal role in supporting various programs and initiatives within our centre. As a Program Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. Position Details
You’ll work closely with the Senior Administrative Assistant and a team of Program Assistants to support Program Chairs, Practice Coordinators, other employees in the centre, and our students.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support our student Massage Clinic by answering phones, booking appointments, dealing with scheduling conflicts, and providing exceptional customer service to our public clients in the Massage Clinic.
- Respond to student inquiries via phone and email
- Organize meetings in Microsoft Outlook, prepare agendas, take minutes, and look after all meeting logistics as per the meeting chair’s request
- Accurately input data related to timetables, marketing requests, human resources, and budgets
- Liaise with other college departments to provide consistent and efficient support to students and staff
- Maintain student records and program documents, including distribution lists, purchase requisitions, office and lab supplies, room bookings, and course rosters
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Allied Health, you will perform various tasks requiring well-developed verbal and written communication skills, assessment and analysis, critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving. You will also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively with all levels of employees. Those with strong customer service skills will excel in this role.

A two-year diploma in a related field – A combination of education and experience, will be considered

Exceptional time management, organization, planning, communication, priority-setting skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment are required

Advanced technical skills are required, including online collaboration tools, word processing, spreadsheet and database software, internet and email, and other office equipment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Flexibility to work within a variety of areas, both independently and in a team environment

Demonstrates a consistent history of respectful, professional, and collaborative engagement with colleagues and teams, with a clear commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of a college environment and academic structure is preferred

AUPE Class Level 7 Step 1 $24.04/hr
