Your Next Challenge Reporting to the Material Planer Supervisor, you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by monitoring stock and ordering tools and supplies as needed;
- Coordinate with procurement for new inventory/ tools and assist maintenance teams by locating necessary tool;
- Request for quotes (RFQ) with different vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards;
- Inspect tools upon return for damage or safety issues, perform basic maintenance, and remove, repair, or replace, unsafe/unserviceable tools;
- Keep accurate records of tools signed in and out, who has them, and ensure they are returned in a timely manner;
- Report missing, damaged, or broken tools and replace under the direction of supervisor;
- Ensure tools are stored properly in designated locations;
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal team members and suppliers;
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to employees regarding types of tooling available;
- Organize the tool crib for efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations;
- Ensuring products meet electrical, mechanical, and environmental safety requirements;
- Ensure all tools and equipment meet applicable CSA (Canadian Standards Association) safety standards;
- Receiving tools ordered for technicians and notify them upon arrival;
- Cross-training with Mobile Maintenance Material Planners to fill in as required.
What You Need To Succeed
- Experience in a tool crib or warehouse environment;
- Mining-sector technician experience is an asset and may enhance a candidate’s competitiveness;
- Familiarity with a wide range of tools used on mining heavy duty equipment, their uses and safety precautions;
- Ability to lift and move materials, tools and equipment;
- Ability to adjust to changing demands and priorities;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email, and basic computer systems;
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodation and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
