About The Role The Product Specialist is a key driver of program excellence and talent visibility within Amii’s ecosystem. This role is instrumental in developing and delivering high-quality programming across emerging talent with a dedicated focus on students and early career professionals. By spearheading strategic communications and executing partnership programs, this position directly amplifies Amii’s mission of ‘AI for good and for all’ by cultivating a visible, skilled talent pipeline.

Reporting to the Product Owner, Talent, the Product Specialist is a key member of the Talent team, primarily responsible for leading the content development and execution of advanced programming and spearheading strategic communication efforts. This role requires a blend of leadership, content creation, program execution, and data analysis to ensure the high-quality delivery and continuous evolution of the Talent products.

This position focuses on achieving excellence in four main accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities Required Skills / Expertise

  • Executes on strategic plans for AI talent development, including career exploration and technical workshops
  • Directly facilitates and delivers specialized programming - including AICAP, Kickstart, and AI4Good Lab - integrating subject matter expertise across multiple programs and audiences
  • Manages logistics of program execution, including scheduling, documentation, and communications asset creation, to ensure smooth and effective deliveries
  • Provides guidance towards pathways for participants on career preparation, planning, and professional growth
  • Develops and executes the communication and product marketing strategy to build the external profile of Amii's emerging talent pool (e.g., showcasing participant wins on the Amii website, social media, and internal channels) - in collaboration with the Marketing Team and Amii brand standards
  • Facilitates clear, efficient, and strategic communication among diverse stakeholders (including team members, partners, participants, and alumni) to drive program adoption and success
  • Oversees content planning, creation, and distribution of talent-related activity- including measuring content performance and optimization
  • Manages and strengthens relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to foster growth and advocate for the Talent product’s strategic goals
  • Facilitates clear and efficient internal communication across teams to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Manages the delivery of partnership programming (e.g., AI4Good Lab) and critical DEI initiatives (e.g., Kickstart), ensuring successful logistics and participant experience
  • Supports data collection, tracking, analysis, and comprehensive reporting efforts to provide actionable insights for the Product Owner regarding new offering creation and product optimization
  • Supports partner-related outreach and communication efforts, facilitating smooth coordination between Amii and external collaborators
  • Proactively stays up-to-date with the global AI ecosystem, identifying trends and opportunities for program expansion
  • Identifies and shares best practices for early career success, and continually adapts program content to deliver impactful experiences for emerging AI talent
  • Provides supervision to junior team members by overseeing and refining their work, and managing approval processes
  • Mentors direct reports on career development and progression, drawing lessons for coaching opportunities
  • Fosters a collaborative work environment by facilitating teamwork and the exchange of ideas among team members
  • Encourages and maintains a problem-solving approach to work while acting as a coach and collaborator
  • Identifies and addresses knowledge gaps, providing solutions or resources to bridge them
  • Functions as a point of escalation for addressing challenges and facilitating the resolution of problems

Required Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Diploma or Certificate in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, talent development, communications, or product delivery
  • 2+ years of marketing and communications-related experience and/or proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Experience in public speaking to diverse audiences, and creation/execution of professional development programs
  • Proficient in tools such as Google Suite, HubSpot or related CRM Tools
  • Experience working with one or more of the following areas: partnership management, curriculum development, or technology/startup ecosystem engagement (nice to have)

  • Familiarity with AI Research Topics and Graduate Studies is an asset (nice to have)
  • Ability to identify the needs of stakeholders and create/drive new solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrates a positive, group-win approach and a willingness to help, learn, and share
  • Applies proactivity, adaptability, and effectively manages shifting priorities
